Pingo Terms of Use

Acceptance

By installing or using Pingo, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

Description and license

Pingo is a local-first Android utility for network diagnostics, including Ping, latency, packet-loss, History, Favorites, Current Network, and Alert When Online. Subject to your purchase and the applicable store terms, Pingo grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive license to use the application on devices you control.

Lawful use and your responsibility

Use Pingo only on networks and destinations you are authorized to test. Entering a target does not authorize port scanning, exploitation, denial-of-service activity, or any other unauthorized probing. You are responsible for targets, network traffic, notifications you start, and how you interpret results.

Accuracy and dependencies

Results depend on the device, operating system, permissions, network path, DNS, remote host, timing, and Ping implementation. Pingo provides observations, not guaranteed network-service advice. Do not use it for emergency services, safety-critical decisions, or guaranteed professional diagnosis.

Availability and background limits

Targets, networks, Android background rules, battery restrictions, vendor task killers, notification permission, and system Do Not Disturb settings may limit availability. Alert When Online is a convenience feature and is not guaranteed to run continuously or detect every transition.

Stores, payment, and updates

Google Play, Cafe Bazaar, Myket, or another store may manage payment, licensing, refunds, and store accounts under its own terms. Pingo does not control store refund decisions. Updates may change features, compatibility, or these terms.

Intellectual property

Pingo, its name, design, code, and original assets belong to their respective owners. These terms grant use of the application, not ownership of its intellectual property.

Third-party networks and services

Network operators, remote hosts, Android, and distribution stores are independent third parties. Their availability and policies are outside Pingo’s control.

Disclaimer and liability

Pingo is provided subject to applicable law and without a promise that every result, target, or monitoring session will be available or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, Pingo and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or reliance losses arising from use of the app. Nothing here excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Termination and general terms

You may stop using and uninstall Pingo at any time. We may end distribution or support for a version. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest remains effective. These terms and the applicable purchase/store terms form the agreement about Pingo’s use. Changes are published on this page.
